Serving Pension Clients
with Patience and Purpose
Founded in Bangkok in 2009, our practice has grown around a single commitment — that every person who comes through our door deserves careful, unhurried legal attention.
← Back to HomeHow the Practice Came to Be
Yutthitham Bhakdi was established in 2009 by Khun Somchai Bhakdi, a Thai-qualified legal practitioner with a particular interest in employment pension law. What began as a small consultancy advising former state employees on their entitlements has grown into a practice recognised across Bangkok for its measured, considered approach.
The name reflects the founding principle: yutthitham — a Thai word for justice — paired with the family name that has represented this work from the outset. It is a reminder that the purpose of each matter is not simply to navigate a process, but to reach an outcome that is fair.
Over the years, the practice has developed particular depth in three areas: helping clients understand what their pension entitlements actually are; supporting them through mediation where disputes have arisen; and providing sustained stewardship for those whose matters are complex or long-running. Each engagement is shaped around the client's circumstances, not around a fixed template.
Our Mission
To give each client a clear understanding of where they stand and what choices are available — without pressure, without unnecessary complexity, and with consistent respect for their pace and preferences.
The People Behind Your Matter
Our team is small by choice. Smaller means each practitioner knows their clients personally, and nothing falls through gaps.

How We Work
The following principles guide every engagement — from the first conversation to the final update.
Registered Practice
Registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand. All practitioners hold current practising certificates and comply with professional conduct obligations.
Written Summaries
Following any meeting or significant development, clients receive a written note in plain language. Nothing important is left only to memory.
Client Confidentiality
All client information is held under strict professional confidentiality in accordance with Thai legal practice requirements and our own internal protocols.
Agreed Cost Structures
Service fees are clear before work begins. Any change in scope is discussed and agreed with the client before taking effect. No surprises.
Impartial Advice
Our role is to provide an accurate picture of your position. We present options fairly, including those that may not require our ongoing involvement.
Regular Communication
Clients are updated when something changes. We do not wait to be asked. If there is nothing new to report, we say so rather than leaving a silence.
Pension Legal Expertise in Bangkok
Pension matters in Thailand sit at the intersection of employment law, Social Security regulations, and individual contractual arrangements. The relevant rules can shift with employment category, length of service, and the type of pension scheme involved. Navigating them without support often means missing entitlements or pursuing the wrong avenue altogether.
Yutthitham Bhakdi has worked with clients across a broad range of circumstances: private-sector employees facing disputes with former employers, public-sector workers assessing their pension entitlements on departure, and expatriates seeking to understand how Thai social security contributions affect their longer-term position. Each matter receives focused attention rather than a standard answer.
The practice is based in Lumphini, Pathum Wan — one of Bangkok's established professional and commercial districts. Meetings are arranged at a time that suits the client, with discretion and unhurried attention as the baseline, not a premium.
